Hi LFers

With the recent demise of the 73khz band, the Crawley Amateur Radio Club are disposing of their 1Kw ex-Decca transmitter previously modified for 73Khz operation making it available now for 136Khz use after re-tuning.

The TX has a good pedigree having being previously loaned out to encourage operation on the 73Khz band and was used by Peter G3LDO and Laurie G3AQC during the early transatlantic tests and later by me in the two-way long distance QSO from Porthcurno in Cornwall up to David GM0MRF at the QTH of Simon GM4PLM in Cumnock, Scotland.   For those who are not familiar with the TX, it is electically very robust and has 3 PA modules operating in parallel each module having 4 power MOFETS in a bridge configuration operating nominally at +65V DC external supply input and is fully metered. It is a 19-inch rack mounted type unit 10.5" high and 19" deep. It will run a conservativly rated 1Kw RF output.
The Club are now inviting offers for the TX towards club funds. They would refer that any buyer collects but if need be, they could arrange shipment at cost. Circuit info etc. is available.

Contact me at : datter@btinternet.com if interested in making an offer. The offer will be open until 30th November 03
