This would result in an ERP of about 35 to 45 watts with 2.5 amp of aerial current. So it is not surprising that he did not hear many of the calling stations who were probably at least 20dB weaker. Maybe someone with the right software could get a better estimate for the aerial. All in all , a good effort and it certainly raised activity levels that weekend.
