Using my 80 metre loop opt direction East/West there is no trace of Loran qrm. Using my inv L vert system ie 4 inv L ants parallel each 120 ft vert and and abt 400 ft horiz the qrm is severe and could be a problem even at this distance, fortunately the LOOP nulls out this qrm completely and since most acty of interest is from the E or W direction it is not a problem for me. This loop is so good for rejection to the South that I often cannot see or hear G stnn from this direction, especially the qrp acty in the South of England. I have not done any serious measurements so far but a rough check on 137 khz indicates loran qrm lines about 30 db over the ambient noise floor here using the vert anternna. Hope this helps and I can understand your concern at your QTH where it might render the LF band impossible to use. 73 de Mal/G3KEV > > >
