I can't tell accurately what it was like last night from the SXV plot, but it looks about 'normal'. Whilst the CME arrived on the 5th it could well be maybe 3 or 4 days later before any effect is felt in the LF radio sense. Certainly the 0300-0400z slot is usually a good one for the transatlantic path W<>E. I'm glad the 100.030kHz 100Hz BW filter has proved useful. I still have some faulty ones if anyone wants to play (the metal can needs desoldering with a blowtorch to get at the works) I have also come across a small simple PCB by DJ8ES that has a Analogue Devices log converter ( AD8307..... 90dB range 500MHz BW !!) and a LT serial i/f (I2C I think) A/D in VHF Comms. Not too useful if you want to use the soundcard but handy for straight logging via the IF output. I dare say this could be connected up on veroboard. Cheers de Alan G3NYK Alan.Melia@btinternet.com
