I suspect that you need to isolate the loop feed with a small transformer. It is possible that the feed from the loop is acting as a wire aerial and is conducting TV RFI and noises from the house back to the loop. One quick check is to see how sharp the null on the loop is when it is turned. If all the signal is being picked up by the loop the null will be sharp and symmetrical. irun a 1.2 m loop with about 16t, which will receive anyting I can hear on the 60m top Marconi at 12m high.....even with the loop indoors, but I must then be carefull to switch off interference sources. When using the loop, you must also disconnect or at least detune the Marconi, because it will couple signals from all directions into the loop. 73 de Alan G3NYK alan.melia@btinternet.com http://www.alan.melia.btinternet.co.uk ----- Original Message ----- From: "dj9dw" To: Sent: 27 April 2003 09:07 Subject: LF: RX-LOOP > Hello LF-Group, > as a beginner, I built the loop that I found in df8zrīs homepage. 2m dia, > Q=200 seperate grounding 10m off the shack.
