The band seemed quiet and as I tuned across the band there was a change in the pitch of the noise - the sort of thing you get when the receiver is connected to a high Q loop. It turned out that the receiver had been left connected to the HF minibeam, which is only 6m away from the end of the LF antenna. A good example of antenna coupling. When the LF antenna is connected directly to the receiver the QRN masks the change in noise pitch with tuning. LF transmitter/loading coil/antenna performing well on the last day with 4.3 amps antenna current. Jim is clearly audible in beacon mode - time 2030z Regards, Peter, G3LDO
