Thanks Peter for an excellent and well reasoned explanation of the key click problem.Far better than the near hysteria that there has been on this reflector.

A small contribution to the discussion,if I may. Is there not a special shaping waveform that can be generated,some form of cosine response that enables optimum rise time at minimum speed.I am sure that we used to use this in other areas. Best wishes, 73s Laurie.
