By the way I also got an electricity pole supplying my neighbours removed
from my garden (previous QTH) at the same time as the telephone wires, using
the same legal clause. The neighbours' telephone wires were also attached to
my chimney and that also legally required a wayleave. In my case all poles
and neighbours' wires were removed at no cost to me.  Unfortunately the
neighbours were charged and that did not make me popular for a while!
