The CME produced with the flare on 28/29 Nov., that was forecast for today, does not seem to have given any significant effects. I think the reason may be that its magnetic field lines did not connect with the Earth's field (wrong orientation) and it probably 'bounced off'. There is some increase in Kp but only to about 3, which does not seem to have a great deal of effect on LF. This means that night-time levels should improve slowly with the rapid fading slowing and giving better levels on peaks (Thanks to Brian CT1DRP for the plots of DCF39). http://homepage.esoterica.pt/~brian DX Cluster spots follow:- 136.6 M0BMU 2-Dec-2001 2225Z 579 136.8 PA0BWL 2-Dec-2001 2048Z 529 136.8 OH1TN 2-Dec-2001 2048Z 419 136.7 DL3FDO 2-Dec-2001 1453Z cq OH 136.5 DK7SU 2-Dec-2001 1442Z cq 136.5 PA0BWL 2-Dec-2001 1355Z cq 137.0 DL3FDO 2-Dec-2001 1043Z cq nw here 136.7 DL3FDO 2-Dec-2001 1041Z cq 136.3 DL1SAN 2-Dec-2001 1032Z clg PA0BWL 136.3 PA0BWL 2-Dec-2001 1029Z cq 136.9 OZ8NJ 2-Dec-2001 1029Z 440 cq 136.7 DK8ND 2-Dec-2001 1021Z clg DK6NI 136.7 DK6NI 2-Dec-2001 1019Z cq 136.4 DK8ND 2-Dec-2001 1018Z clg OK1DTN 137.7 I5TGC 2-Dec-2001 1015Z cq qrss 136.4 DK7SU 2-Dec-2001 0840Z in qso DK8ND 136.5 DK8ND 2-Dec-2001 0838Z 559 calling cq 136.8 IK5ZPV 1-Dec-2001 2033Z 579 cq qsx 3573 136.3 DK6NI 1-Dec-2001 1424Z clg OK1DTN 136.6 OK1DTN 1-Dec-2001 1122Z correct 136.6 OK1DTS 1-Dec-2001 1121Z cq... 136.7 F6BWO 1-Dec-2001 1123Z clg DL3FDO 136.4 DJ1ZB 1-Dec-2001 1120Z clg OK1DTN 136.3 OK1DTN 1-Dec-2001 1116Z cq 136.4 F6BWO 1-Dec-2001 1110Z clg OK1DTN 136.4 OK1DTN 1-Dec-2001 1006Z in qso DJ2LF 136.5 DK7SU 1-Dec-2001 0929Z in qso DJ2LF 136.8 DK7SU 28-Nov-2001 1308Z 136.4 G3LDO 26-Nov-2001 1547Z cq cq 136.5 ANYBODY 26-Nov-2001 1529Z copy my CQ from JO32QG G3NYK de GB7MRS 3-Dec-2001 1549Z > Cheers de Alan G3NYK JO02PB alan.melia@btinternet.com
